About Kilkenny Grinds

A focused, local approach to Leaving Certificate tuition, built around good teaching, manageable class sizes and a supportive learning environment.

Who we are

Kilkenny Grinds was established to provide high-quality, small-group Leaving Certificate tuition in Kilkenny. Our aim is to offer students a focused, in-person alternative to large tutoring centres — taught by experienced, qualified teachers who know the Leaving Certificate curriculum inside out.

Maths (Higher Level) and Applied Maths are currently taught by a fully qualified secondary-school teacher with extensive experience teaching at Leaving Certificate level.

Kilkenny Grinds is designed to grow. As local demand develops, we plan to introduce additional subjects and expand the range of Leaving Certificate tuition available, while maintaining the same focus on quality teaching and manageable class sizes.

Our approach

The focus at Kilkenny Grinds is on genuine understanding, not rote learning. Students are encouraged to ask questions, engage with the material, and develop the knowledge and exam technique that comes from purposeful practice.

Classes are kept small so that every student gets attention and no one gets left behind. The aim is to build confidence alongside ability, so that students can approach exam questions with a clear grasp of the material and the techniques required.
